VisualTimer is a children-friendly visual timer. We aim to keep functionality on your device. The app does not require an account, does not show ads, and does not track you across apps or websites.
VisualTimer uses information only to provide app features, including saving timer settings, showing countdown and progress, playing voice prompts, displaying Live Activities, and checking whether Pro features are unlocked.
We do not sell your data, use your timer content for advertising, or create marketing profiles based on your usage.
To provide timer features, VisualTimer stores the following information locally on your device:
This information is mainly stored in local app storage. To share the current timer state between the main app and the Live Activity extension, necessary timer summary data is stored in Apple’s local App Group container. This information remains on your device.
If you enable or use Pro iCloud preservation, custom scenes and custom prompt text are stored through Apple iCloud in your iCloud account so these family settings can be preserved across your devices. VisualTimer does not receive your iCloud account or password. The actual storage location of iCloud data depends on your Apple ID region (China Mainland accounts are served by YunShang GuiZhou); VisualTimer has no control over where iCloud data is stored.
VisualTimer does not ask you to create an account and does not actively upload your name, phone number, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, or photo library content to us.
Voice prompts use Apple’s system text-to-speech capability. The app passes prompt text to the system speech synthesizer for playback. VisualTimer does not record audio and does not access the microphone.
Pro features are unlocked through Apple StoreKit. Purchases, payments, refunds, and purchase history are handled by Apple. VisualTimer only uses Apple-provided purchase status to determine whether Pro is unlocked, and does not receive your credit card number, payment account, or full payment details.
When you start a timer, the app may display the current task, remaining time, progress ratio, and phase text on the Lock Screen or Dynamic Island. You can disable Live Activities in system settings. The in-app timer will continue to work even if Live Activities are disabled.
VisualTimer is designed for family use and is mainly configured by parents or guardians. The app does not require children to provide personal information and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please avoid entering sensitive personal information in custom scene names or prompt text. If a parent or guardian believes that we have processed children's data without proper consent, please contact us using the information at the end of this policy and we will promptly address the issue.
Local data is retained while you use the app and is automatically removed when you delete the relevant content or delete the app. VisualTimer does not operate separate retention servers. You can delete custom scenes in the app, or delete the app to remove all locally stored data. Purchase records managed by Apple are not affected by deleting the app.
If we add timer history, photo-based scene icons, family sharing, or other features that require new permissions in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide notice through the app or App Store page when appropriate.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or need to exercise your data rights, you can reach us at dxkwok@outlook.com or through the developer contact information listed on the App Store page.
